John Livingston Hopkins 
John Livingston was born on February 10th, 1795 in near Bluffton, S.C..1 John Livingston's father was Francis Hopkins and his mother was Rebecca Sayre. His paternal grandparents were Francis Hopkins and Mary Martinangel; his maternal grandparents were Jeremiah Sayre and Elizabeth Fripp Green. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Francis, Benjamin, William Proctor, Edward Stevens, Charles Harris, Thomas Spalding, Octavius Caesar, Mary Martinangel, Georgia and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 33 on October 8th, 1828 in Monroe Co.,TN.1 General Notes
