Sylvester Griswold 
Sylvester was born on May 21st, 1814 in Litchfield, Litchfield, CT.1 Sylvester's father was Benjamin Griswold and his mother was Sally Wright. His maternal grandparents were Jonathan Wright and Leah Bissell. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Stanley, Frederick, Benjamin, Lewis, Honor, Mary, Sally Maria and Diana Carter. He was the second youngest of the nine children.1 -
