John De Grey

John De was born about 1205 in Of, Shirland, Derbyshire, England.¹ John De's father was Henry De Grey and his mother was Isolda (Iseude) Bardolf. His paternal grandparents were Richard De Grey and Mrs-Richard De Grey; his maternal grandparents were Hugh Bardolf and Isobel Aquillion. He had six brothers and a sister, named Richard De, Hugh De, William De, Robert De, Walter De, Henry De and Joan De. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.¹
