John Gaylord 
John was born about 1602 in Pitminster, Somerset, England.1 John's father was Hugh Gaylord and his mother was Joan Unknown. His paternal grandparents were Nicholas Gaillard and Joan Unknown. He had five brothers and three sisters, named George, Christopher, William, Edmund, Hugh, Alice, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.1 General Notes
