Margaret was born in 1619 in England and her baptism took place in Assington, Suffolk, England.1   Margaret's father was Thomas French and her mother was Susan (Susannah) Riddlesdale.  Her paternal grandparents were Jacob French and Susan Warren; her maternal grandparents were John Riddlesdale and Dorcas. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Thomas, John, Alice, Dorcas, Susan, Ann and Mary.  She was the third youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 14 on November 25th, 1633 in Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts.1
