Sarah Catherine Wigg Floyd 
Sarah Catherine Wigg was born on December 12th, 1799 in Camden Co, GA.1 Sarah Catherine Wigg's father was John Floyd and her mother was Isabella Maria Hazard. Her paternal grandparents were Charles Floyd and Mary Fendin; her maternal grandparents were Richard Hazzard and Phoebe Loftain. She had seven brothers and four sisters, named Charles, Charles Rinaldo, John Fendin, William Henry, Richard Ferdinand, Samuel Augustus, Henry Hamilton, Mary Hazzard, Susan Lodviski Dixon, Caroline Eliza Louise and Melinda Isabella. She was the fourth oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 76 on May 8th, 1876 in Savanah, GA.1 General Notes

m. to Dr. Aime DeLaRocheaulion of Dinan, France, by Rev. Wm. Mathews, Episcopal, at "Fairfield" 28 Feb 1822. She was an accomplished, intellectual woman, a general favorite, and much loved at home. She died of a long and painful illness at Savannah, Ga. leaving an only daugher and one granddaughter. Her daughter, Mrs. Charles Hamilton, died at Dinan, Franc 15 Jan 1877, but little over a month after arriving there, and leaving her only child Mary Hazzard Hamilton, with her aged uncle, the brother of her father. As Mary will fall heir to the estate of the DeLaRocheaulion family, she thinks of remaining with her uncle so long as he lives far away from her native country and nearest relatives, but we cannot foresee the dealings of Providence with us, nor find out His mysterious ways.
