Richard Ferdinand Floyd 
Richard Ferdinand was born on July 7th, 1810 in "fairfield"Camden Co, GA.1 Richard Ferdinand's father was John Floyd and his mother was Isabella Maria Hazard. His paternal grandparents were Charles Floyd and Mary Fendin; his maternal grandparents were Richard Hazzard and Phoebe Loftain. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Charles, Charles Rinaldo, John Fendin, William Henry, Samuel Augustus, Henry Hamilton, Mary Hazzard, Sarah Catherine Wigg, Susan Lodviski Dixon, Caroline Eliza Louise and Melinda Isabella. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 59 on June 27th, 1870 in Green Cove Springs, FL.1 General Notes

a man of polished manners and a sweet musician. Richard was a painter, musician and beautiful writer. He adopted his oldest grandon Richard F. Drysdale, who was drowned by the upsetting of a boat in the St. John's River, when about 15 years old. Married Miss Mary Ann Chevalier of St. Marys, GA, died 1870 leaving:
1.Melinda Isabella Floyd m. Mr. John Drysdale; she died leaving 2 sons and 3 daughters.
2.Caroline Collibee Floyd m. Mr. Butler, he only lived a few weeks. m.2) Dunstan Page of Ohio-no issue
Anna Maria Floyd; unm. living with mother in 1870.later m. Mr. Robert Alston and died not long after. He only lived a short time.
