Elizabeth was born about 1774 in Loudoun, VA.1   Elizabeth's father was Christian Furst and her mother was Hannah.  Her paternal grandparents were Johannes Furst and Sarah. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Conrad, Cline, John, Peter, Sarah, Hannah and Margaret "Peggy".  She was the second oldest of the eight children.1
