Catherine Fierce 
Catherine was born in 1839 in Ohio.1 Catherine's father was Thomas Butcher Fierce and her mother was Mary MacCartney. Her paternal grandparents were John Fierce and Catherine Miller; her maternal grandparents were John MacCartney and Sarah Jane Jones. She had six brothers and four sisters, named William Wallace, Henry, Hiram, Lewis, Clark, Charles, Louisa, Sarah, Matilda and Mary Theresa. She was the second oldest of the eleven children.1 -
