Sterling was born in 1885 in Screven Co., GA.1 Sterling's father was Charles Evans and his mother was Alice Cail. His paternal grandparents were John Ruel Evans and Sarah Elizabeth Lucas. He had four brothers and a sister, named James Hezekiah, John Ruel, Lewellyn, Charles Quintin and Anna Elizabeth. He died at the age of 83 in 1968 in Screven Co., GA.1 -
