Elizabeth A. was born about 1838.¹ Elizabeth A.'s father was Joel Dukes and her mother was Sarah Kennedy. Her maternal grandparents were Edward Kennedy and Cynthia Unknown. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Edward, William H., Leander J., Henrietta R. and Mary A.. She was the third oldest of the six children.¹
