Malcolm was born about 1347 in Of, Inchmohomo, Scotland.1   Malcolm's father was John Drummond and his mother was Mary Margaret.  His paternal grandfather was Malcolm Drummond. He had two brothers and three sisters, named John, William, Mary Margaret, Annabella and Margaret.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died in November 1402.1
