Robert was born on August 17th, 1779 in Welton, Northamptonshire, Eng..1 Robert's father was John Chamberlain and his mother was Ann Eales. His paternal grandparents were John Chamberlain and Alice Unknown. He had six brothers and two sisters, named John, Thomas, Thomas, Richard, Francis, Joseph, Ann and Mary. He was the second oldest of the nine children.1 -
