His paternal grandparents were Thomas Chamberlain and Sarah Checkley; his maternal grandparents were William Glover and Phoebe Sturgis. He had a sister named Phebe. He was the younger of the two children. He had seven half-brothers and a half-sister, named John, John, Charles Thomas, George, Oliver, Nelson, Arthur and Mary. He died at 3 months old on August 7th, 1849 in Lorain Co., OH.1 -
