Phebe was born in Scituate, RI.1 Phebe's father was Joseph Brown and her mother was Abiajah Whitman. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Brown and Waite Waterman; her maternal grandparents were Valentine Wightman and Sarah Bartlett. She had a brother and a sister, named Wait and Amey. She had three half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Joseph, Benjamin, Stephen, Abigail, Martha, Amey, Deborah, Mary, Sarah and Anne. She died on September 18th, 1809 in Providence, RI.1 -
