Valentine Wightman 
Valentine was born about 1627 in of Providence, Providence, Rhode Island.1 Valentine's father was John Wightman. His paternal grandparents were Edward Wightman and Frances Darbye. He had three brothers named Daniel, Abraham and George. He was the oldest of the four children. Valentine is no longer alive.1 General Notes

Valentine Wightman:
Genealogies of Rhode Island Families; Ohio State Library: Probably a descendant of Edward Wightman of Burton-Upon-Trent, England - The last martyr by fire condemned for heresy on English soil. Burned 11 Apr 1612 in Lichtfield, England. Made a freeman in Warwick, Rhode Island 18 May1658, moved to Providence, Representative in General Court of Providence in 1675, Will dated 13 Jan 1700.
