George W. was born on December 3rd, 1860.1   George W.'s father was David S. Breeze and his mother was Elizabeth Spaulding.  His paternal grandparents were John Breeze and Sarah Hollaway; his maternal grandfather was Philip Spaulding. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William, David H., Thomas S., James M., Mary Elizabeth, Lucinda and Clarinda.  He was the youngest of the eight children.1
