John Bragg

John was born on October 1st, 1817.¹   John's father was John Bragg and his mother was Mary Sasser.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas Sasser and Clarisy. He had nine brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, Seaborn, James, David, William, Henry B., Littleton, Howell, Jasper, Elizabeth, Clary, Martha, Mary A., Margaret and Jane.  He was the fourth oldest of the sixteen children.  He died at the age of 47 on October 29th, 1864.¹
