Wilbur Gray was born on October 11th, 1902 in Sylvania, Screven Co., GA.1 Wilbur Gray's father was Alexander Thomas Bazemore and his mother was Salina E. Bragg. His paternal grandparents were Perry Bazemore and Amanda Wells; his maternal grandparents were Howell Bragg and Lucretia Elizabeth Jenkins. He had three brothers and a sister, named Joseph M., Ellery Clayton, Thomas Rufus and Bessie Elizabeth. He was the youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 53 on June 2nd, 1956 in Savannah, Chatham Co., GA. He was buried on June 7th, 1956 in Screven Co., GA.1 1 General Notes
