Montgomery Burkhart was born in 1911 in Kentucky.1   Montgomery Burkhart's father was Asbury Banks and his mother was Mary Lee Brooks.  His paternal grandparents were Henry C. Banks and Elizabeth Pratt; his maternal grandparents were Leander Brooks and Mellissa Spencer. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Henry Clifford, Lummie Kizer, Orbin Elsworth, Orville, Sarah Lenis, Gladys and Linda. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Burland, Walker and Leona.  He died at the age of 44 in 1955 in Kentucky.1
