Lucy was born about 1847 in MO.1 Lucy's father was Elias Lewis Baldwin and her mother was Elizabeth. Her paternal grandfather was Unkown Baldwin. She had a brother and a sister, named Edward and Mary. She was the youngest of the three children. She had three half-sisters named Amanda, Mahala and Anna.1
