Benjamin Babbit 
Benjamin was born in 1701 in Taunton, Bristol, MA.1 Benjamin's father was Elkanah Babbit (Bobet) and his mother was Elizabeth Briggs. His paternal grandparents were Edward Babbitt and Sarah Tarne; his maternal grandparents were William Briggs and Sarah Macomber. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Captain Elkanah, Elkannah, Josiah, Joseph, Damaris, Dorcas, Hopestill, Mercy, Sarah and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 52 in March 1753.1 -
