John Alvord

John was born after 1757 in East Hampton, CT.¹ John's father was Seth Alvord and his mother was Elizabeth Spencer. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Alvord and Mary Strong; his maternal grandparents were Tomothy Spencer and Abigail Spencer. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Seth, Orren, Ruel, Seth, Huet, Damaris, Damaris, Anna and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the ten children.¹
