John Allen 
John was born on May 27th, 1876 in Gravel Hole,Lostock,Lancs,Eng.1 John's father was John Allen and his mother was Elizabeth Battersby. His paternal grandparents were John Allen and Elizabeth Wainwright; his maternal grandparents were James Battersby and Jane Lilley. He had four brothers and five sisters, named James, William, Richard, George, Emily Jane, Hannah, Ellen, Sarah and Sarah Lily. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 86 on June 30th, 1962.1 -
