Her maternal grandparents were Marcome Cooper and Sarah Juliet Randolph. She had eight brothers and four sisters, named John, William Heath, Littleberry, Charles, Edward A, Abraham, Wortham, Joseph Hartsfield, Mary W, Margaret Elizabeth, Nancy Anne and Martha. She was the fourth youngest of the thirteen children.-
