Elizabeth Denton was born in 1757 in Nash Co., NC.1 Elizabeth Denton's father was Marcome Cooper and her mother was Sarah Juliet Randolph. Her paternal grandparents were David D Cooper and Elizabeth Wilder; her maternal grandparents were George Jackson and Elizabeth Wilder. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Vinson, Hardy, David Lee, John D, George, William, William (Billy), Rhoda Deans and Mary Polly. She was the oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 77 in 1834 in Nash Co., NC.2 General Notes
