James Smyth 
James was born in 1836.1 James' father was Thomas Hugh Jonas Smyth and his mother was Nancy M Orr. His paternal grandparents were Edward Smyth and Hannah Crabtree; his maternal grandparents were Alexander Orr and Margaret Peggy Ramsey. He had a brother and six sisters, named Alexander F, Elizabeth, Mary, Sarah, Elizah Jane, Virginia and Rebecca. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He had two half-brothers named William and George.-
