Alfred Wilson Jr was born on October 30th, 1870 in Bermingham Ironton, Trigg, KY, USA.1 Alfred Wilson Jr's father was Alfred Wilson Nickell and his mother was Margaret C Carlew. His paternal grandparents were Wilburn Nickels and Julia Ann Orr; his maternal grandparents were William Tedford Carlew and Rhoda Chambers. He had a sister named Mary B. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 91 on March 9th, 1962 in Albion, Cassia Co.,Idaho. He was buried on March 12th, 1962 in Arco Cemetery , Butte, Idaho.2 General Notes

Alfred Jr Nickell was raised by the Carlew family.

First of all, when they left Lyon Co in 1911 there were 11 children and one on the way. Their name was spelled Nickell here and are a branch of our Nickells. They were about starving between the rivers and 2 Mormans came through and when they stopped at Alfred's house and saw the condition in which they were living, one of the men told him that his father owned land in Idaho and would give them work and a house to live in, so they packed up everything they could take on the train and went to Idaho. I correspond with a relative in Salt Lake City and have done some research for her at our courthouse. Her mother was the 12th child. She is a certified genealogist.
