William Melton Mauldin

William Melton was born in 1818 in Lincoln, Georgia, USA.¹   William Melton's father was Absalum Mauldin and his mother was Cynthia Caroline Seale.  His paternal grandparents were John Mauldin and Sarah Blake. He had three brothers and five sisters, named J W, Harris, Clayton, Sarah, Jane, Martha, Mary and Mary Jackson.  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 62 in 1880.¹
