Wilhelm Carl von Hessenstein 
Wilhelm Carl was born on May 14th, 1790. Wilhelm Carl's father was Wilhelm I Elector von Hessen-Kassel and his mother was Karoline von Schlotheim * von Hessenstein. His paternal grandparents were Friedrich II von Hessen-Kassel and Mary von Great Britain. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Wilhelm Friedrich, Ferdinand, Ludwig Karl, Wilhelm Ludwig, Friedrich Ludwig, Karoline, Auguste and Karoline. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He had twelve half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Friedrich, Wilhelm, Karl Baron, Friedrich Baron, Wilhelm II, Friedrich Baron, Wilhelm Karl Baron, Georg Wilhelm Baron, Philipp Baron, Moritz Baron, Julius Heinrich Baron, Otto Baron, MARIE Frederike, Karoline Amalie, Wilhelmiene Baroness and Marie Sophie. He died at the age of 77 in 1867.-
