Berta Luise von Hessen-Philippsthal-Barchfeld 
Berta Luise was born in 1874. Berta Luise's father was Wilhelm von Hessen-Philippsthal-Barchfeld and her mother was Juliane von Bentheim-Steinfort. Her paternal grandparents were Karl von Hessen-Philippsthal-Barchfeld and Sofie von Bentheim-Steinfort. She had three brothers named Chlodwig, Eduard and Julian. She was the oldest of the four children. She had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Friedrich Wilhelm, Carl, Christian, Elisabeth, Alice and Luise. She died at the age of 45 in 1919.
