Philipp von Hessen-Homburg 
Philipp was born in 1779. Philipp's father was Friedrich V von Hessen-Homburg and his mother was Karoline von Hessen-Darmstadt. His paternal grandparents were Friedrich lV von Hessen-Homburg and Ulrike zu Solms-Braunfels; his maternal grandparents were Ludwig lX von Hessen-Darmstadt and Karoline Palatine von Zweibruecken-Birkenfeld. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Friedrich VI Landgraf, Ludwig, Paul, Viktor, Gustav, Ferdinand, Leopold, Karoline, Luise Ulrike, Amalie, Auguste and Marie Anna. He was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 67 in 1846.-
