Otto Earl was born on January 13th, 1877 in Haven, Reno, KS.1 Otto Earl's father was Robert O. Slayton and his mother was Hannah Harnden. His paternal grandparents were Luther Slayton and Almina Preston. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Almond Leon, Orin Giles, Arthur Edson, Robert Colby, Sarah Edna and Opal Leota. He was the third oldest of the seven children.1 -
