Arthur Edson was born on January 24th, 1879 in Haven, Reno, KS.1 Arthur Edson's father was Robert O. Slayton and his mother was Hannah Harnden. His paternal grandparents were Luther Slayton and Almina Preston. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Almond Leon, Orin Giles, Otto Earl, Robert Colby, Sarah Edna and Opal Leota. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.1 -
