Samuel Bowes Shelton 
Samuel Bowes was born in 1860.1 Samuel Bowes' father was Z. Tavener Shelton and his mother was Zilphia Alice Higginbotham. His maternal grandparents were Charles Lewis Higginbotham and Elizabeth Back. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Leeroy R., Burnett I., Thomas M., Alvin L., Elizabeth E., Ida M., Ginney E., Nevada and Mary Juan.1 -
