John Clarke Richter 
John Clarke was born on January 14th, 1849 in Madison, Morgan County, Georgia, USA.1 John Clarke's father was Charles Wilhelm Richter and his mother was Anne Eliza Potter. His paternal grandparents were Carl Wilhelm Richter and Anna Mariah Hollweck; his maternal grandparents were Arthur Potter and Margaret White. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Charles William, Arthur Potter, Martin Luther, Anna Mariah, Fannie, Sara Caroline and Anna Thomas. He was the second youngest of the eight children.1 -
