Auguste Reuter 
Auguste was born on August 5th, 1834 in Schwelm, Westfalen, Prussia.1 Auguste's father was Heinrich Reuter and her mother was Maria Catherina Kuntz. She had three brothers and five sisters, named August, Carl Heinrich, Heinrich, Carolina, Henrietta, Dorothea, Albertine and Maria Wilhelmine. She was the youngest of the nine children.1
