Mathilde was born in Boulogne, France.  Mathilde's father was Eustace III De Boulogne and her mother was Mary Caenmore.  Her paternal grandparents were Eustace of Bologne and Ida Von Nieder-Lothringen; her maternal grandparents were Malcolm III Canmore and Margaret the Saxon.  She was an only child.  She died in Hevringham Castle, Essex, England.  She was buried in Faversham Abbey, Faversham, England.


Mathilde's family with Stephen of England

‌Mathilde and Stephen of were married in a religious ceremony about 1125 in Westminster Abbey, London, England.  They had three sons and two daughters, named Eustache of, William, Baldwin, Matilda and Marie.
