Frances Harriet was born on January 24th, 1859 in Monroe, AL. Frances Harriet's father was Washington Hamilton Aldridge and her mother was Julia Ann Hendrix. Her paternal grandparents were Abner Aldridge and Rebecca House; her maternal grandfather was Reuben Hendrix. She had six brothers and four sisters, named William James, Charles Washington, Augustus Murat, Aberdeen, Pinckney Beauregard, Dread Thomas, Anne Rebecca, California Adeline, Louisiana Bell and Susan Alice. She was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.-
