Violet was born on June 1st, 1830 in Mendon, Monroe, NY.  Violet's father was Brigham Young and her mother was Miriam Angeline Works.  Her paternal grandparents were John Hayden Young and Abigail Nabby Howe. She had a sister named Elizabeth.  She was the younger of the two children. She had twenty half-brothers and twenty-nine half-sisters, named Joseph Angell, Brigham, John Willard, Brigham Heber, Ernest Irving, Arta D. Crista, Feramorz Little, Oscar Brigham, Jedediah Grant, Albert Jeddie, Edward Partridge, Joseph Don Carlos, Willard, Benjamin Morris, Hyrum Smith, Lorenzo Dow, Alonzo, Daniel Wells, Mohonri Moriancumer, Phineas Howe, Mary Ann, Alice, Eunice Caroline, Fanny Decker, Shamira, Clarissa Hamilton, Jeanette Richards, Nabbie Howe, Charlotte Talula, Emily Augusta, Caroline Partridge, Miriam, Josephine, Laura, Mary Eliza, Clarissa Maria, Phoebe Louisa, Ella Elizabeth, Marinda Hyde, Emeline Amanda, Louisa Nelle, Ruth, Ardelle, Evelyn Louise, Ida, Zina Presendia, Eudora Lovina, Susan Amelia and Rhoda Mabel.  She died at the age of 72 on November 18th, 1902 in Lewisville, Jefferson, ID.
