Marinda Hyde was born on July 30th, 1849 in Salt Lake City, UT.  Marinda Hyde's father was Brigham Young and her mother was Emelina Free.  Her paternal grandparents were John Hayden Young and Abigail Nabby Howe. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Hyrum Smith, Lorenzo Dow, Alonzo, Daniel Wells, Ella Elizabeth, Emeline Amanda, Louisa Nelle, Ruth and Ardelle.  She was the second oldest of the ten children. She had sixteen half-brothers and twenty-five half-sisters, named Joseph Angell, Brigham, John Willard, Brigham Heber, Ernest Irving, Arta D. Crista, Feramorz Little, Oscar Brigham, Jedediah Grant, Albert Jeddie, Edward Partridge, Joseph Don Carlos, Willard, Benjamin Morris, Mohonri Moriancumer, Phineas Howe, Elizabeth, Violet, Mary Ann, Alice, Eunice Caroline, Fanny Decker, Shamira, Clarissa Hamilton, Jeanette Richards, Nabbie Howe, Charlotte Talula, Emily Augusta, Caroline Partridge, Miriam, Josephine, Laura, Mary Eliza, Clarissa Maria, Phoebe Louisa, Evelyn Louise, Ida, Zina Presendia, Eudora Lovina, Susan Amelia and Rhoda Mabel.  She died at the age of 34 on August 17th, 1883 in Salt Lake City, UT.
