Mary+ was born about 1383. Mary+'s father was Robert III+ Stewart and her mother was Annabella+ Drummond. Her paternal grandparents were Robert II+ Stewart and Elizabeth+ Mure; her maternal grandfather was John+ Drummond and her maternal grandmother is Mary+ Montfichet. She had a brother and two sisters, named James I+, Margaret+ and Elizabeth+. She was the second youngest of the four children. She had a half-brother named John.
