Garland Stanley 
Garland was born on February 12th, 1791 in Cedar Creek, Hanover, Va. Garland's father was James Crew Stanley and his mother was Mary Jones. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Stanley and Sarah Crew. He had six brothers and three sisters, named James Crew, Nathaniel Jerrett, Jesse, Littleberry, Lemuel, Jonathan, Elizabeth Ann, Sarah and Rhoda. He is the oldest of the ten children.General Notes
