Gertrude Frances was born on February 21st, 1837 in Alcester, Warwickshire, England. Gertrude Frances' father was George Hamilton Seymour and her mother was Gertrude Maud Brand. Her paternal grandfather was George Seymour and her paternal grandmother is Isabella Hamilton; her maternal grandparents are Henry Otway Brand and Pyne Crosbie.
