Elizabeth Anne was born about 1698 in Dublin, Co. Dublin, Ireland. Elizabeth Anne's father was Thomas Petty-Fitzmaurice and her mother was Ann Petty. Her paternal grandfather was William Fitzmaurice; her maternal grandparents were William Petty and Elizabeth Waller. She had a brother named John. She was the older of the two children.
