Patrick Fitzmaurice 
Patrick was born about 1551. Patrick's father was Thomas Fitzmaurice and his mother was Margaret Fitzgerald. His paternal grandfather was Edmund Fitzmaurice and his paternal grandmother is Una MacMahon; his maternal grandparents were James Fitzgerald and Mor O'Caerbhaill. He was an only child. He died on August 12th, 1600 in Donlogh, Ireland. He was buried in Grey Friary, Muckross.General Notes
In rebellion against Queen Elizabeth
Patrick "was brought up at the court of Elizabeth I in England, but (he) returned to Ireland after his succession. He remained loyal to Ireland and fought against the Tudor English invaders." (cite: Renaud de Paysac with source "The Complete Peerage vol. VII, p. 211.)
