George was born about 1530 in Seton, Tranent, East Lothian, Scotland. George's father was George Seton and his mother is Elizabeth Hay. His paternal grandparents were George Seton and Janet Hepburn; his maternal grandfather was John Hay and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth Douglas. He had a sister named Marion. He was the younger of the two children. He died on January 8th, 1586. He was buried in Seton, East Lothian, Scotland.General Notes
