Ioannes V was born on June 18th, 1332. Ioannes V's father was Andronikos III Palaiologos and his mother was Jeanne De Savoie. His paternal grandparents were Michael IX Palaiologos and Rita Of Armenia; his maternal grandparents were Amadeo V De Savoie and Marie De Brabant. He had a sister named Maria. He was the older of the two children. He had a half-sister named Eirene. He died at the age of 58 on February 5th, 1391.General Notes
