Maria was born about 1335. Maria's father was Andronikos III Palaiologos and her mother was Jeanne De Savoie. Her paternal grandparents were Michael IX Palaiologos and Rita Of Armenia; her maternal grandparents were Amadeo V De Savoie and Marie De Brabant. She had a brother named Ioannes V. She was the younger of the two children. She had a half-sister named Eirene. She died in 1384.General Notes
