Eirene Palaiologina 
Eirene was born about 1261. Eirene's father was Michael VIII Palaiologos and her mother was Theodora Vatatzaina. Her paternal grandfather was Andronikos Palaiologos and her paternal grandmother is Theodora Palaiologina; her maternal grandfather is Ioannes Vatatzes and her maternal grandmother was Eudoxia Angelina. She had a brother and a sister, named Andronikos II and Eudokia. She is the second oldest of the three children.General Notes
